Vaibhav Suryavanshi batted consistently impressively in the three-match T20 International series played against Zimbabwe. He scored 151 runs in three matches and played two half-century innings. During this period his batting average was 50.33. His explosive batting contributed significantly to India getting a 3-0 clean sweep in the series.

The impact of the strong performance in the Zimbabwe series was directly seen in the new ICC rankings. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has now reached 48th position in the list of T20 International batsmen with 536 rating points. Many Indian players have strengthened their position in ICC’s new T20 batting rankings. Ishan Kishan remains at the first position. Tilak Verma has reached sixth position with an increase of two places. Indian captain Shreyas Iyer has jumped seven places to reach 24th position. This also clearly shows the continued strength of the Indian batting order.

India’s dominance in ODI and bowling rankings also
In the latest ranking of ODI batsmen, Indian captain Shubman Gill has again regained the number one position, leaving behind New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell. On the other hand, in the T20 bowling rankings, Ravi Bishnoi has made a spectacular jump of 31 places to reach 41st position. Varun Chakraborty, who was out of the recent series due to injury, has dropped three places, but he still maintains his place among the top-10 bowlers.
