All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has started the application process for recruitment to Group-B and Group-C posts under Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-5. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 1484 vacant posts will be filled in various AIIMS institutes and other health institutes across the country.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website. The application process has started and candidates can submit their application form till 30 June 2026.
Recruitment will be done on 1484 posts
Under the AIIMS CRE-5 recruitment drive, appointments will be made to various posts of Group-B and Group-C. These posts include posts related to administrative, technical, laboratory, nursing support, clerical and other departments. Educational qualification and age limit have been determined differently according to the posts.
Educational qualification
For AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment, candidates should have Graduation, Post Graduation, Diploma or other qualification prescribed as per the post from a recognized university or institute. The eligibility conditions of different posts are different, hence candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully before applying.
What is the age limit?
The maximum age limit for various posts of recruitment has been fixed at 27 years, 30 years and 35 years. Age limit will vary according to the post. Reserved category candidates will also be given age relaxation as per government rules. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years. At the same time, OBC candidates will be given relaxation of 3 years and disabled candidates will get the benefit of relaxation of 10 years.
How much is the application fee?
Candidates have to pay the application fee as per their category. The fee for General and OBC categories has been kept at Rs 3,000. Whereas for SC, ST and EWS category candidates, the fee is fixed at Rs 2,400. Whereas physically handicapped (PwBD) candidates are completely exempted from the application fee. Fee can be paid through online mode.

What is the exam pattern?
Computer based examination will be conducted for AIIMS CRE-5. A total of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in the exam. Questions will be related to General Knowledge, Computer Knowledge and related subjects.
This is how the selection will be done
Computer based test (CBT) will be conducted for selection under the recruitment process. According to the schedule released by AIIMS, the examination will be conducted between July 25 to July 27, 2026. Exam date, admit card and other important information will be released from time to time on the official website.
