Prices of FMCG products increased
After an increase of 11% in raw material prices and 56% increase in packaging cost, the country’s leading FMCG companies like HUL, Dabur, Marico and Colgate have increased the prices of their products. Soaps of premium brands like Dove and Pears have become costlier by 4-5%. Detergent prices have also increased by 5-11%. In this era of inflation, oral care has also become difficult. From Colgate to Dabur, they have increased the prices of many of their toothpaste ranges.
Dairy products become expensive
A 1 liter packet of Amul Gold has become expensive in the last few days. Now its price has been increased to Rs 70 instead of Rs 68. Amul Taza has also increased from earlier Rs 55 to Rs 57. Mother Dairy’s full cream milk (1 litre) has increased from Rs 69 to Rs 72. At the same time, the price of Mother Dairy’s Buffalo Milk has also been directly increased by Rs 5 to Rs 80 per liter from the earlier Rs 75.

Due to increase in transport cost, prices of potatoes, brinjal, lady’s finger and many other vegetables have also been increased by Rs 5-10.

Due to increase in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, the rates of food items in restaurants and hotels have been increased. Its inflation rate has reached 5.75%. In an attempt to recover input costs, restaurant owners have increased their menu prices by 1.8% in the last one month.
