Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly has reached the police with a complaint. He has lodged a complaint at Thakurpur police station that such posts are being made regularly on a Facebook page, which has damaged his image and reputation. Ganguly alleged that lakhs of people follow this Facebook page, but misleading posts are being made on it regularly.
Sourav Ganguly is the current president of Cricket Association of Bengal. He lodged a complaint at Thakurpur police station and said that an unofficial page is being run on Facebook in the name of ‘Sourav Ganguly Fans’. The posts being made on this page are hurting his image. The former Indian captain alleged that the so-called unofficial page has 36 lakh followers and misleading posts are being shared on it, which are trying to defame him.
According to news agency PTI, Ganguly wrote in his complaint, “I understand that people who are associated with public life have to face criticism. But such misleading, defamatory and misleading posts that are harmful to my reputation are not acceptable at all. Legal action is necessary for this.”

The veteran player urged the police to take action as soon as possible against the people running this unofficial page. He also demanded that immediate action should be taken to stop such misleading posts from appearing further on social media.
According to the report, a senior police officer also confirmed that action will be taken soon on the complaint lodged by Ganguly. Let us tell you that Ganguly was the captain of the Indian team from 2000-2005 and has been the former President of BCCI. Ganguly is currently in his second term as the President of Cricket Association of Bengal.
