LPG Rate Today on June 16: The recent increase in LPG prices has had an impact on the budget of Indian families. On June 7, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi was directly increased by Rs 29 from Rs 913 to Rs 942. This was the second increase in the last three months. Earlier in March, the prices were increased by Rs 60 per cylinder.

In this sequence, the rates of commercial cylinders have also been increased significantly. The government also decided to reduce the number of subsidized cylinders annually provided to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana from nine to four. The government said that it is working to strengthen the fuel reserve and manage the domestic supply as well as to protect consumers from difficulties.

Will gas cylinder become cheaper now?

With the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, there is every possibility that LPG gas cylinders will become cheaper in the coming days. However, consumers will have to wait a little for this. Experts say that after the opening of Hormuz, it will take time for ship traffic to become completely normal. Then it may take at least 40-50 days to remove the sea mines laid in view of the war.

After the decline in prices in the international market, government oil companies in India will review the situation. Only after that something is said. However, expectations are being raised that in the next monthly review on July 1, 2026, some big announcement can be made regarding LPG prices.
