Nikhil Chaudhary Statement: Nikhil Chaudhary, who was born in the Indian capital Delhi and plays domestic cricket for Punjab, made his international debut for Australia last Wednesday (June 17). Nikhil was made a part of Australia’s playing 11 for the first T20 International against Bangladesh. Now after debut with Kangaroo team, Nikhil gave a big statement and said that he always wanted to play for Australia.
Let us tell you that Nikhil made his first class debut for Punjab in March 2017. He played for Punjab along with stars like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Shubman Gill. But now suddenly after his Australian debut, his statement was shocking.
‘Always dreamed of playing for Australia’
Speaking after the debut match against Bangladesh, Nikhil said, “You always dream of playing for Australia. Once I started playing in Australia, then I always dreamed of playing for Australia. This was probably the best moment of my life.”

How did Nikhil reach Australia?
Nikhil came to Australia in 2020 for some work. At the same time, international flights and borders were closed due to Covid. Now Nikhil had to stay in Australia only. After this Nikhil decided to stay in Australia permanently. Nikhil got permission to play from Australia, even though he was not an Australian citizen.
Nikhil got a chance to play for Hurricanes in the 2024-25 Big Bash League. After this he made his debut in List-A and first class cricket for Tasmania. Gradually Nikhil came closer to the Australia team. Now Nikhil got a chance to play in the T20 series against Bangladesh in the absence of Travis Head. In this way Nikhil reached Australia and got a chance to play. Now it will be interesting to see how long Nikhil’s career lasts while playing for Australia.
