There is important news for the candidates applying for Bihar Police Sub Inspector recruitment. BPSSC has released the admit card for this exam. Candidates who had applied for this recruitment can now download their admit card. This recruitment is being organized by the Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department of Bihar Government. A total of 78 posts will be selected through this recruitment process. Candidates are advised to download their admit card and check all the information before the examination.
Online applications for recruitment for Bihar Police Sub Inspector recruitment were started from 27 January 2026 which continued till 27 February. The Commission had issued the last date for depositing the examination fee as 27th February, now BPSSC has released the admit card. Whereas the written examination will be conducted on 12th July 2026.
What are the qualifications required?
A total of 78 posts will be recruited for BPSSC SI Prohibition Recruitment. Candidates applying for this post must have a graduate degree from a recognized university. In this recruitment, seats have been fixed according to different categories.
What should be the age limit?
The minimum age of the candidate for this recruitment should be 20 years. The maximum age for male candidates has been fixed at 37 years and for female candidates the maximum age has been fixed at 40 years. Reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per rules.
What will happen in the physical test?
After the written examination, the selected candidates will have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Male candidates will have to complete 1.6 kilometer run in 6 minutes 30 seconds while female candidates will have to complete 1 kilometer run in 6 minutes. Apart from this, the candidate’s activities like high jump, long jump and shot put will also be evaluated.

According to the Commission, this examination will be conducted on 12th July 2026 (Sunday) in a single shift, the duration of this examination has been fixed at 2 hours and the examination will be conducted from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. All the candidates have been advised to report at the examination center by 09:30 am.
How to download admit card
- Candidates first go to the official website of BPSSC bpssc.bihar.gov.in.
- Candidates open the Admit Card section on the home page.
- Select SI Prohibition Recruitment 2026 link.
- After this fill the registration number and other information.
- After submission, the admit card will appear on the screen, download it and take a print out.
