15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has made a special mark in world cricket with his stormy batting, is all set to debut in international cricket. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been selected in Team India for the two-match T20 series against Ireland and the five-match T20 series against England. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has remembered that emotional moment when he was given the jersey of the Indian team for the first time. Vaibhav has said that at that moment he wondered why he had picked up the bat in the first place.

In a video shared by BCCI, Vaibhav Suryavanshi said, “It can’t be expressed in words. The reason I picked up the bat from the first day and went to the field for practice. That dream has now come true. The biggest step of that journey has been completed today. I really can’t explain this feeling in words. When I saw that T-shirt, I felt like it was a dream. I couldn’t stop smiling. Sometimes such things happen, about which You would never have thought that we would have found the words to respond at that time.

BCCI has captioned the video, “Ladies and Gentlemen, the moment the country has been waiting for has arrived. Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the Team India jersey, witness this very special moment.”

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was selected in the Indian senior team for the Ireland and England T20 series and Asian Games 2026 at the age of 15 years and 71 days. With his selection, Vaibhav broke Sachin Tendulkar’s 36-year-old record of being selected at the youngest age. Tendulkar made his debut for India against Pakistan in 1989 at the age of 16 years and 205 days. If Suryavanshi gets a chance to debut against Ireland, he will become the youngest player to play for the Indian senior men’s team.
