Akshay Kumar said that the success of a film does not depend only on the atmosphere created around it or on big events. He said that whatever film is good, it works. It is not necessary that it be an ‘event film’. If the film is good then it definitely gets the audience, but the point comes back to the same, every film has its own destiny. Even if there is no big event or hype around it, if it has to be successful, then that film will work somehow or the other. No matter what happens.
Explained by giving example of ‘Saiyara’
Giving an example, he said, which event was in the movie ‘Sayara’? had nothing. Its songs became popular and the romance of the film was liked by the audience. Both actor and actress did a very good job. Akshay Kumar also expressed his views regarding competition among actors or screen space in multi-starrer films. He said that there was no such atmosphere in the team of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ where any artiste was trying to show himself ahead or get more importance than the other.

‘Nobody said to increase my role’
Akshay Kumar said that we were making a film. No one was trying to please anyone or outdo anyone. Everyone knew this. Not a single person came and said, ‘My dialogue is less’ or ‘His dialogue is more.’ There was nothing like that.
He further said that I know many people who were giving their dialogues to others and saying, ‘You say this line’ or ‘You take this dialogue.’ There was no such thing at all.
