But just imagine, if the country’s national bird, a peacock, suddenly comes for a walk with its entire family on this busy road, then what would the scene be like? One such very beautiful and magical sight was seen in the Peddar Road area of South Mumbai. As soon as the monsoon arrived in Mumbai after a long wait and it started raining heavily, a flock of peacocks and peahens came out for a walk on the streets. Videos of this scene are becoming increasingly viral on social media, seeing which everyone has lost their senses.

In the video going viral, it can be seen that many peacocks are roaming on Peddar Road so carefree, as if they are roaming in a forest. They are not afraid of the noise and vehicles of the city. In another video, a luxurious peacock is seen sitting proudly on the balcony railing of a high-rise building in Kemps Corner area. This beauty of the peacock is creating such a contradiction amidst the skyscrapers of Mumbai that even the passers-by stopped and started capturing this beautiful moment on their phones.

An Instagram user who captured this unique sight on camera wrote that seeing this was indeed a rare and joyful experience. When the monsoon rains showered their blessings on Mumbai on Tuesday evening, it seemed as if these peacocks, along with nature, were congratulating the Mumbaikars on the arrival of monsoon. After this video surfaced, everyone is surprised that where did these peacocks come from in such a VIP and crowded area of Mumbai?

People are sharing these videos extensively on social media and are also giving their own theories in the comment box. One user wrote, “These peacocks have come from the nearby ‘Tower of Silence’ and ‘Godrej Bagh’, which are maintained by the Parsi community. These beautiful birds live there.” Giving information, another user wrote, “There is a Parsi Tower of Silence, where many peacocks live amidst greenery. Perhaps during the rainy season they came down from the hills to the road.”
