Imagine, a 3 year old innocent girl suddenly becomes unconscious, it takes 20 minutes for the ambulance to arrive and in the heavy evening traffic, every second becomes the difference between life and death. In such a situation, a common taxi driver emerges as a messiah. He not only breaks the red light but also takes the girl in his lap and runs towards the hospital in such a way that even death comes to its knees. This is not a film story but a real story of bravery of a taxi driver, after reading which the entire social media is saluting him today.
20 minutes wait and entry of a messiah
This incident took place in Wuhan city of Hubei province in central China. A 3-year-old girl named Yanyan developed high fever at home and suddenly fainted. The panicked family immediately called an ambulance, but due to the evening peak hour traffic it was going to take at least 20 minutes for the ambulance to arrive. The family did not have even a second to waste. They ran on the road with the girl and stopped a taxi in which two passengers were already sitting. Seeing the condition of the girl, the passengers showed humanity and immediately got off the taxi. After this the real journey of saving life started.
When the taxi started talking to the air after breaking the red light
Without wasting any time, taxi driver Wang Tao drove the car towards the nearby Tongji Hospital. The girl’s mother sat in the front and the grandmother sat at the back with the girl. Wang immediately called the traffic police and informed that there was a serious girl in the vehicle, so the road should be cleared. To save time, Wang broke several red lights and even drove the car on the wrong side for some time. But due to heavy traffic jam near the hospital, the taxi stopped completely. In such a situation, Wang stopped the car and said to the family, “Give the child to me, you people will not be able to run that fast.” Wang took the girl in his lap and ran towards the hospital, where on the way an e-bike rider also helped him and took the girl to the emergency ward on time.
Life saved in 30 minutes and driver rejected the reward
It took less than 30 minutes from the time the girl became ill to reaching the hospital. Due to timely treatment, innocent Yanyan’s life was saved and he is out of danger. For this great help, the girl’s family approached driver Wang several times to give him a reward, but Wang flatly refused to accept the money every time. Wang says that saving someone’s life is a man’s duty and he will continue to help people in his humble job. Wang has been living in Wuhan for the last 12 years, so he had a solid understanding of the city’s routes, which became the biggest strength in this rescue.
