There is excellent news for the youth who have performed brilliantly in the field of sports. Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala has issued recruitment notification for 23 posts for players of different sports under Sports Quota Recruitment 2026-27. Let us tell you that the application under this recruitment drive has started from June 15, 2026, while the last date for submission of applications has been fixed as July 14, 2026.
According to the notification issued by RCF, posts have been fixed for players of many sports including hockey, weightlifting, athletics, cross country, wrestling, football and cricket. These include one for men’s hockey, four for women’s hockey, three for women’s weightlifting, two for women’s athletics, four for women’s cross country, one for men’s athletics, three for men’s freestyle wrestling, three for men’s football and two for men’s cricket.
What is the required qualification?
Talking about educational qualification, for Level-1 posts it is necessary for the candidate to have passed 10th. Apart from this, ITI, equivalent qualification or NAC issued by NCVT will also be valid. For Level-2 posts, 10th with ITI or Act Apprentice Certificate in relevant trade is required. Whereas for Level-4/5 posts, it is necessary to have a graduate degree from a recognized university and knowledge of Hindi or English typing on computer.
What will be the salary?
Qubit candidates will get good salary on these posts. Candidates selected on these posts will get pay scale of Rs 5200-20200 with grade pay of Rs 2400 or 2800. At the same time, good salary and other facilities will be provided for Level-2 and Level-1 posts as per the rules of Railways.

How will the selection be done?
The selection process will be completely merit based. Out of total 100 marks, 50 marks have been allotted for sports achievements, 40 marks for sports skills, physical fitness and performance evaluation during trials and 10 marks for educational qualification. Candidates who perform better in all stages will be placed in the final merit list.
This much fee will have to be paid
The application fee has been kept at Rs 500 for general, OBC and other category candidates. However, Rs 400 will be refunded to the candidates participating in the trial after deducting the bank charges. Whereas for SC, ST, ex-serviceman, disabled, women, minority and EWS category candidates, the fee has been fixed at Rs 250. Rs 200 will be refunded to these candidates on appearing in the trial.
