Who does not know about Pakistan’s deep pockets and poor economic condition today? Many countries of the world as well as international organizations have given huge loans to Pakistan to run its daily life comfortably, but Pakistan seems to be giving full meaning to the adage of ‘taking a loan and drinking ghee’.
Actually, Pakistan Army has announced a huge increase of 25 percent in the salary of its officers and soldiers. It is also being said that the Pakistani Army has taken this decision after the crushing defeat and humiliation suffered by India in Operation Sindoor.
Asim Munir approved the proposal to increase salary
Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has also given his approval to this proposal, after which the salary has been increased from Pakistani military officers to ordinary soldiers. India Today, quoting its sources, has reported that the Pakistan Army has increased the Ad-Hoc Relief Alliance by 25 percent through a revised package. At the same time, distance allowance has been tripled and along with cash-in-lieu payment, uniform allowance, batman allowance has also been doubled.
Why did Pakistan take such a step?
This big step of increasing the salary of officers and soldiers has been taken by the Pakistan Army at a time when the people of the country are struggling with inflation and unemployment, the government is deeply in debt by taking loans from other countries and international organizations and the country is going through an economic crisis. Whereas on the other hand it is being said that this decision has been taken to boost the morale of the army amidst tension.
However, no official notification has been issued yet by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the information department of the Pakistani Army, in this regard.
