In fact, according to the report of The Wall Street Journal, Iran wants to make major changes in the management of the Strait of Hormuz. For this, it has given a new proposal, under which fees will be charged from ships passing through this route in exchange for services like security, safe navigation and environmental protection. If this plan is implemented then the countries involved in it can earn up to 40 billion dollars every year.

What did Iran say?
Regarding this, Iran says that after the recent war, the operation of the Strait of Hormuz cannot continue as before. Therefore, a new system should be created in which the Gulf countries jointly manage this sea route and share the earnings from fees among themselves. Due to which the income of Iran and its associated countries will increase.
According to the report, Iran is trying to garner the support of China and other Gulf countries to implement this plan. Iran’s Chief Negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said during his visit to Oman that the management of Hormuz will no longer be done in the old way. Iran has prepared this model inspired by the Strait of Dardanelles of Turkey.

Will it be affected by inflation?
If this proposal of Iran is passed, then in the coming time, inflation may increase in other countries where crude oil and gas are exported from the Strait of Hormuz. One of which is India, where the war between Iran and America had a direct impact. Due to shortage of crude oil, shortage of petrol, diesel and gas was observed here. So their prices had also increased.
America is against
Let us tell you that America has opposed this proposal of Iran. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that no country has the right to charge fees from ships passing through international waterways and America will not support any such arrangement. The report also said that under the recent 60-day ceasefire agreement, Iran will have to remove mines from the Strait of Hormuz and the movement of ships will have to continue without any toll.
