After the leak of question papers of Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026, serious questions have again been raised on the sanctity of competitive examinations in the country. On this issue, ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke on Saturday (June 27) launched a scathing attack on the government and has increased the pressure by demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Addressing a press conference here, Deepke alleged that after the NEET controversy, now the leaking of Maharashtra TET paper and cancellation of the examination is an example of a major failure of the government.

After parts of the question paper were allegedly leaked, Maharashtra TET-2026 was postponed just a day before the scheduled date. In this case, an inter-state gang has been busted by arresting three people from Bhiwandi.

‘Government can only buy MLAs, cannot conduct examinations’

Taking a dig at the government, Deepke said, “First NEET and now Maharashtra TET exam was also leaked and canceled at the last moment. Students and teachers have been raising their voice against TET scams since 2017, but instead of improving the system, the administration is bent on ruining the future of the youth.”

He further alleged that the BJP government cannot conduct even a single examination properly. She can only work on breaking political parties and including MLAs and MPs from other parties in her party. Deepke also raised serious questions on the source of funds used for horse-trading of MPs.

Protest at Jantar Mantar and support of Sonam Wangchuk

‘Cockroach Janata Party’, which started as a digital satire platform, has been on strike at Jantar Mantar since June 20 over alleged rigging in various examinations and the NEET paper leak controversy. This demand for the resignation of the Education Minister is going to get even more strength, because well-known educationist and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk will also join the protest at Jantar Mantar from Sunday and start an indefinite fast.
