The United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) issued an official statement on Monday (June 29, 2026) saying that its investigation has revealed that at least 28 civilians have been killed and 49 others have been seriously injured in the midnight Pakistani bombing in Paktia and Kunar provinces.
The United Nations has made it clear that the casualties include a large number of innocent women and innocent children.
