The Supreme Court of America has given a big decision. In this, some mail in ballots received after the elections will also be valid. The Supreme Court has given this decision with a majority of 5-4. If state law allows it, mail-in ballots post-mortem by Election Day may still be counted if they arrive after the election.
How many judges agreed on this decision of the Supreme Court, know what has been said?
The decision has come in the Watson, Mississippi Secretary of State vs. Republican National Committee i.e. RNC case. Justice M. Coney Barrett, speaking for the majority, said that under federal law it is not mandatory for mail-in ballots to arrive by Election Day. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Elena Kagan, Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor also agreed with this decision.

Trump expressed displeasure over the decision of the US Supreme Court
Now US President Donald Trump has reacted to this decision. In this, the Supreme Court’s decision on mail in ballot i.e. voting sent by post has been termed as a big loss. He has given this reaction on the social media platform Truth. Trump also appealed to Republican lawmakers in the Senate to quickly pass the Save America Act. The Supreme Court ruled by a 5-4 majority that mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day can still be counted after the election, if a state’s law allows it.
