The first semi-final of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played today between Australia and West Indies. This match will be played on the ground of Kennington Oval in London. Australia is the most successful team in the history of T20 World Cup and can create history by defeating West Indies today. Australia has been undefeated in the entire tournament so far and has reached the semi-finals by winning all 5 matches in the group stage. On the other hand, West Indies had made it to the semi-finals by finishing second in Group B.
This is not the first time that Australia and West Indies will be clashing in the World Cup semi-finals. In 2012, 2014 and 2018, Australia and West Indies have met in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup, but Australia has won all three times. The Caribbean team would like to defeat the Kangaroos in the semi-finals for the first time.

A total of 9 Women’s T20 World Cups have been organized before the year 2026, out of which Australia has reached the finals seven times. The Australian team has been so dominant in T20 cricket that it has reached at least the semi-finals every time.
Australia already holds the record of appearing in the finals the most number of times. Today Australia can improve its own record by reaching the final for the eighth time. England is at second place in this list, which has reached the finals four times so far and New Zealand has reached the finals thrice.
Let us tell you that the second semi-final will be played between England and South Africa on 2 July. The final is to be played on 5th July.
