The journey of revered Baba Amar Nath has formally started in Jammu and Kashmir and the first batch left for Srinagar on Thursday (July 2) from Jammu. As soon as Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha left the batch of Amarnath pilgrims for Kushinagar at around 5 am on Thursday morning, the entire area echoed with the cheers of Bam Bam Bhole. After reaching Baltal and Pahalgam, these devotees will leave for the darshan of Lord Bholenath on Friday morning. When the Amarnath Yatra goes to Srinagar, no one else is allowed to move on the highway. The entire highway is sealed due to Amarnath Yatra.
This time the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the central government have taken strict steps regarding this yatra. Along with the deployment of about 70,000 additional soldiers from the country, Jammu and Kashmir Police, BSF and Army are also engaged in protecting the Yatra.

He said that Amarnath Yatra is a historical journey and the identity of Jammu and Kashmir, where Lord Bholenath personally appears to the devotees. He said, “Traditionally it has been started today but there are many challenges in it because there are weather and geographical challenges and security challenges.”
