If you are planning to buy a premium 6-seater car in the coming time, then there is good news for you. Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the facelift model of its popular XL6. Although the company has not yet announced it officially in India, but after the first glimpse of Suzuki XL7 Facelift to be launched in Indonesia, it is believed that the new Maruti XL6 can also be launched in India with the same design and many new features.

Actually, Maruti XL6 sold in India and Suzuki XL7 sold abroad are very similar vehicles. The platform and mechanical setup of both are almost the same. The biggest difference is in the seats. The XL6 has two captain seats in the second row, while the XL7 has a bench seat to seat three people. Therefore, whenever a major update comes in XL7, many of its changes are later seen in XL6 also.

These changes will be made in this car of Maruti

The biggest change in the exterior of the new facelift XL6 can be seen in its front design. The car will be given a bolder and SUV-like look than before. It will get a new design big chrome grill, which will have black inserts. Apart from this, the design of the headlights will also be changed, due to which the front of the car will look more attractive than before. Newly designed alloy wheels and smoked LED tail lamps at the rear are also expected. Overall, the new XL6 will look more modern and premium than before.

No major changes are expected in the interior of the car, but in terms of features, it may be better than before. Ventilated front seats can be provided in it, which will make driving more comfortable in summer. Apart from this, large touchscreen infotainment system, 360 degree camera, head-up display, better connected car technology and some new safety features can also be included. After these updates, XL6 can give tough competition to other MPVs and SUVs.

When will this car be launched in India?

As far as the engine is concerned, no major changes are expected in it. Only the existing 1.5 liter K15C petrol engine can be given in the new XL6, which produces about 103 bhp power and 136 Nm torque. With this, the option of 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox is expected. Its CNG variant may also continue in India.

At present the company has not revealed the launch date of the new XL6 in India. However, Suzuki XL7 Facelift will be introduced first in Indonesia on July 29. After this, it is expected that in the next few months the same update can be seen in the Indian market in the form of Maruti XL6 Facelift.
