If you are dreaming of teaching in IIT, then this is a great opportunity for you. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore has started online applications for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor Great 1 and Great 2. Interested and eligible candidates can apply till 21 July 2026 at 5 pm. This recruitment will be done in many departments and new schools of the institute.
In which areas there will be recruitment
In this recruitment, candidates working in modern areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Medical Image Analysis, Computational Multi-Omics, Computational Epidemiology, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), Wearable Healthcare Devices, AI based Health Monitoring System, Bioscience and Biomedical Engineering can apply. IT Indore has released a total of 54 faculty posts in this recruitment. Applications are invited. Of these, 10 posts will be filled under regular recruitment. Whereas 44 posts will be filled under the special recruitment drive.
age limit
For Assistant Professor Grade II, the maximum age of the candidate should be 32 years. Whereas for Assistant Professor Grade I, the maximum age has been fixed at 35 years. Reserved category candidates will get age relaxation as per government rules.
Ability
For most of the posts, the candidate should have a PhD degree in the relevant subject. Also, it is important to have a good study record. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience for Assistant Professor Grade I. Experience of working in research or industry is also necessary. However, experience during PhD will not be added. Experienced candidates can apply for some posts in School of Innovation even without PhD.

How much salary will you get?
Selected candidates will get good salary. Salary for Assistant Professor Grade II will start from Rs 70,900 per month. Whereas for Assistant Professor Grade I, the starting salary will be Rs 1,01,500 per month. Apart from this, other allowances and facilities will also be given as per the rules of the institute.

First of all the applications of the candidates will be scrutinized. After this the eligible candidates will be shortlisted. Then they will be called for interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the interview.
