China and Russia started their joint naval military exercise Joint C-2026 on Monday (6 July 2026). The exercise began at a military port in Chengdu, Shandong province in eastern China. China’s government broadcaster CCTV gave this information. According to the report, this joint naval exercise will be conducted in three phases. In the first phase, the task force of the navies of both the countries will gather. In the second phase, a joint plan and strategy will be prepared at the port. After this, in the third phase, different military operations will be conducted in the sea.

According to CCTV, the warships of China and Russia involved in this exercise will practice operations like joint reconnaissance, air defense missile defense in the maritime area around Chengdu. Apart from this, soldiers will also be given training in actual use of weapons.
