LPG Rate Today on July 9: In India today, Thursday, July 9, the prices of domestic LPG and commercial gas cylinders remained stable. In Delhi, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder is Rs 942 per cylinder and the rate of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder is Rs 2930. After a huge jump of 6% in the prices of crude oil in the international market yesterday, it is feared that oil companies may review the gas prices again in the coming time.

Will the prices of gas cylinders increase?
Global financial markets witnessed volatility on Wednesday after US President Donald Trump raised questions on the temporary ceasefire with Iran. There was a sharp increase in oil prices. The price of Brent crude increased by about 5.2% to $ 78.02 per barrel and even crossed the level of $ 80 per barrel for some time during trading. Any major change in the benchmark prices of crude oil and LPG in the international market impacts the domestic fuel prices in India.
The prices of commercial gas are reviewed from time to time by government oil companies (IOCL, HPCL, BPCL). If pressure on prices increases internationally, the relief of Rs 183.50 on July 1 may be withdrawn in the next review. As far as domestic gas is concerned, the government tries to keep it stable in every way, but if the prices of crude oil and under-recovery keep increasing, then the government is forced to increase its prices too.
