ZIM vs BAN: Another blast from Zimbabwe, won the series by defeating Bangladesh by 13 runs; accomplished a great feat

Zimbabwe has defeated Bangladesh by 13 runs in the second ODI match. With this, Zimbabwe has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Ben Curran’s unbeaten century and then the amazing performance of the bowlers helped the host team bundle out Bangladesh on the score of 234.

In the second ODI match played in Harare, Zimbabwe team, batting first, scored 247 runs in the stipulated 50 overs. At one time, Bangladesh had scored 169 runs after losing only 3 wickets, but in the last 15 overs, no batsman could stand in front of the Zimbabwe bowlers.

In response to the target of 248 runs, Bangladesh had crossed the 200-run mark in the 42nd over and had 5 wickets left in their hands. Bangladesh team was heading towards an easy victory and had to score only 41 runs in 49 balls. But the sequence of wickets that started after the dismissal of Nurul Hasan (38 runs) ended only after the dismissal of the entire team. Bangladesh lost its last 5 wickets in just 27 runs.

Ben Curran’s first century

Opener Ben Curran scored the first century of his ODI career. In the second ODI against Bangladesh, he returned unbeaten after scoring 111 runs in 135 balls. He batted the entire 50 overs. Apart from him, Brad Evans played a stormy innings of 58 runs in 38 balls, taking Zimbabwe to the score of 247.

When it came to bowling, captain Richard Nagarava led the team and took maximum 3 wickets. Blessing Muzarabani and Brad Evans dismissed two batsmen each. Apart from him, Sikandar Raza, Brian Bennett and Wesley Madhevere got one success each.
