Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy Injury: Before the fourth T20 against England, Team India suffered two big setbacks. Fast bowler Harshit Rana and spinner Varun Chakraborty were out of the remaining two matches of the series. The fourth match is being played on 09 July (Thursday) at the County Ground in Bristol. Before the match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gave an update saying that both the players suffered hamstring injuries.
The third T20 of the series was played last Tuesday (07 July) at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, in which Harshit and Varun suffered hamstring injuries. Both the players are under the supervision of the medical team.
Giving an update, the board wrote, “Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty suffered hamstring injuries in the third T20 played at Trent Bridge. The BCCI medical team has examined them and ruled them out of the fourth and fifth T20.”

In the fourth match, in place of both the players, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna and spin all-rounder Washington Sundar were made part of the playing 11. Captain Shreyas Iyer gave information about these changes at the time of toss.
This is the first time for the famous Krishna and Sundar in the England T20 series. Earlier, both the players were seen playing in the T20 series against Ireland.
