On July 9, the fourth T20 match was played between India and England. Batting first, Team India set the target of 158/7 runs. England won by scoring 159/1 in 13.5 overs. This was India’s third consecutive defeat in T20 matches. Actually, in the match, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer made such a strategic mistake due to which Team India could not defend the match. Arshdeep was not made to bowl consistently
In the second over, when Arshdeep Singh dismissed Josh Butler after scoring only 13 runs, Team India captain Iyer did not make Arshdeep bowl continuously. The result was that on their home soil, Harry Brook and Phil Salt scored a lot of runs in the overs of Prasidh Krishna and Prince Yadav. From here the match was very far from Team India.
Captain Iyer led the team to a respectable score
England set out to chase the run and achieved the target in just 37 balls. Indian team’s opener batsmen Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma lost their wickets early. Vaibhav (15) and Abhishek (16) returned to the pavilion after scoring runs.
Ishan Kishan, who came to bat at number three, also could not show anything special. Captain Iyer single-handedly took the team to a respectable score. The captain played an unbeaten inning of 80 runs in 49 balls. In which he hit 5 sixes and 4 fours. Shivam Dubey supported the captain very well. He played a short but important inning of 22 runs in 23 balls.
