Recently Javed Jaffrey gave an interview to the screen. During this, he was asked why despite gaining a lot of popularity in the 90s, he was never included in the list of ‘A-list’ actors? On this, Javed says, ‘It depends on how you are shown or presented and PR also plays a role in this. The industry has its own web. Many times negative news spreads about you and in such a situation, it becomes your responsibility to stop the negative news spreading about yourself and spread positivity to people.

Gave the example of Salman Khan
Javed Jaffrey said that he failed in many matters. He said, ‘There is nothing bigger than success. I was not part of any group. There is no debate when your film is a hit. When Salman’s first film ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’ (1988) came, people rejected him, but after this Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) came and everyone started following him. This happened only because of success. He further said that I never achieved such a big hit or success.
I don’t think much about it
Javed further talked about his debut film ‘Meri Jung’ (1985). In this he played the role of a villain and said that after that everyone started looking at him from the perspective of a villain. This was decided with the debut film itself and I never presented myself that way. He further says, ‘To be honest, I don’t think much about it.’
