The Indian team will tour Nepal in December this year. On Friday, Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) issued a statement saying that ‘India A’ will tour Nepal for a 3-match T20 series in December this year. CAN has also released the schedule of the upcoming series, which will be played from December 9-December 13.
The decision on the bilateral series was taken after a meeting between Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) President Chatur Bahadur Chand, CAN Secretary Paras Khadka and BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia. Three T20 matches will be played between the two teams, which will be hosted by TU International Cricket Ground, Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur.
- 9 December – 1st T20
- 11 December – 2nd T20
- 13 December – 3rd T20

This will be a big opportunity for Nepal, because India A also includes big stars of IPL and some players who have been part of India’s senior cricket team. Nepal cricket team has shown great performance in the last few years.
Nepal had qualified in both the last T20 World Cups. Nepal’s team could not register a single win in the 2024 World Cup, but in the 2026 World Cup, it improved its performance and defeated Scotland. Nepal had almost defeated England in the World Cup, but in the end it had to face a close defeat by 4 runs.
