The accident on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam has shocked the whole of India. This day was very painful for Indian tourists. Eyewitnesses said that bad weather and high waves hindered the rescue operation. Tourists were trapped in an overturned boat. Eyewitnesses say that due to difficult conditions it was difficult to reach the people trapped inside. However, nearby boats reached the spot and started pulling out the remaining people from the water. Later, the rescue was intensified after the Border Guards deployed two ships and 35 officers and soldiers.

The rescue team traced 32 passengers. Deaths of 15 people were confirmed. The company running the speedboat informed that the driver is 50 years old. He had many years of experience in carrying passengers on this route. Officials were investigating the cause of the fatal accident.

In such a situation, this is a sad time for South India. 10 people from Tamil Nadu, three from Andhra and two from Andhra have died. About 19 tourists from Andhra were on this boat. Here, the Chief Minister of Kerala and Andhra Pradesh have started preparations for the return of the dead and other tourists. State officials have been instructed to contact the embassy. At the same time, the Indian Embassy has set up two control rooms in Vietnam.
