Jansuraj’s candidate Prashant Kishore is trying his best in the by-election from Bankipur assembly seat. He has targeted the withdrawal of name of BJP candidate Abhishek Kumar. On the replacement of BJP candidate Abhishek Kumar, Prashant Kishore said that BJP people will tell this. We are seeing that their candidates have fled the field. They ran away before the fight started.
Regarding the new candidate, he said, “Now the other ones have come, see how many days and how long they last.” Prashant Kishore said, “This is the power of democracy and the people of Bankipur have shown it and they are also experiencing it themselves that as soon as people have left caste-religion, party and leader’s commitment and stood up, the leader of a party like BJP has run away from here.”

‘Who will stop even the dog and cat tomorrow…’
He further said, “Ran from that area which till yesterday was being described as BJP’s fort. About which BJP people were saying that if they field even a dog or a cat, they will win the elections. Today they are not able to find their candidates there. The candidates are running away.” He said, “This is not the strength of Prashant Kishor or Jansuraj because we do not have any organization here.”
Prashant Kishore is contesting elections for the first time
Prashant Kishore, candidate from Bankipur, said, “I am contesting elections for the first time in my life. We are not MLAs, ministers and MPs, but the people here have stood up and in November 2025, the people of Bihar have been cheated. The slogan of change was given and after winning, no work was done. Forget the work, people’s troubles have increased. Names were struck off from people’s ration cards.”
He further said that the children who were studying on student credit cards are not being able to pay their fees. People are facing so much problem that the prices of cylinders have increased. The drains and streets have not been cleaned as soon as the rains started. He further said, “This time people want to hold him to account. They want to answer him and that is visible. This fear is scaring the BJP.”
BJP changed its candidate
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday changed its candidate for the by-election on Patna’s Bankipur assembly seat and declared Yuva Morcha leader Neeraj Kumar Sinha as its candidate. Earlier declared candidate Abhishek Kumar Sinha withdrew his name from contesting the elections citing family reasons.
