The country’s largest paint company Asian Paints has announced to increase the prices of its selected paint products by 12%. The company says that due to the ongoing tension in West Asia, the cost of raw materials and shipping has increased, due to which this decision had to be taken. According to the company, the new prices of paint have come into effect from today i.e. July 14, 2026. This increase will be according to different products and categories. The prices of some products will increase less, while in some they have been increased by up to 12%.

Asian Paints said that the supply of raw materials has been affected due to increasing geopolitical tension in West Asia. Along with this, the cost of sea freight has also increased. Many chemicals and raw materials used in making paint are imported, hence the increase in cost has a direct impact on the prices.

The biggest impact of this decision will be on those people who are building a new house or are preparing to repair and paint the house. The costs of builders, interior designers and painting contractors may also increase. In such a situation, the total cost of painting the house may be higher than before.
