In Mukerian of Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in his cheeky manner targeted the internal factionalism of the Indian National Congress state unit. He said that the condition of Congress has become such that ‘Raja Wadding (Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee) does not get along with Charanjit Singh Channi (former CM), Channi does not get along with Pratap Singh Bajwa, Bajwa does not get along with Randhawa, Randhawa does not get along with Vadding, Wadding does not get along with Navjot Singh Sidhu and Sidhu does not get along with anyone.’
Mann sarcastically said that it has now become necessary to end Congress’s fight and perhaps he himself will have to intervene. He said that Congress should get only so many seats that there would be no chance of becoming the Chief Minister, ‘There will be no bamboo, no flute will be played.’
CM Bhagwant Mann said that Congress leaders are behaving as if the Governor has already fixed the time for the oath of office of the Chief Minister and now all that remains is to decide who will become the Chief Minister. He said that 59 seats are required to form the government in Punjab, but instead of winning the seats first, Congress is fighting amongst itself for the post of Chief Minister.

‘Someone’s turban would be in his hand, someone’s head would be broken…’
Mann also took a dig at the proposed bus tour of Congress and said that Rahul Gandhi will make all the leaders sit together in the bus, but no one will be with him while alighting. He sarcastically said that someone might have his turban in his hand, someone might have a broken forehead, someone might have a broken nose, hence two-four such people should also be seated in the bus who can save them from their fight.

The Chief Minister alleged that the Congress leaders are not fighting among themselves to serve the public, but for power and loot so that they can loot Punjab by becoming the Chief Minister. He also claimed that if Congress comes to power, it will stop all the free schemes running for the common people. Mann said that Congress leaders have already publicly said that if the government is formed, they will end all the schemes providing free facilities.
