Content Creation: In India, now instead of choosing any other profession, people are choosing content creation as their profession. The work of content creation, which started during the time of Covid, is becoming popular everywhere from cities to villages. But these days, many people are having to struggle a little more in the work of content creation. These people are the creators of small places.

Challenge before these creators
In fact, recently a report by Indian School of Business (ISB) and Hashfame has come out, in this report it has been revealed that in the year 2025, there will be about 41.2 lakh content creators in India. Two-thirds of these are from non-metro cities. Between 2020 and 2025, the number of creators in small cities increased by 6.4 times, while in metro cities this increase was 2.6 times.

According to this report, one out of every four people in the country combined with Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra emerges as a creator. Whereas Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Gujarat also have more creators than their population. More than 50% of creators from small towns have 1,000 to 10,000 followers on social media. Whereas 28% creators have 10,000 to 1 lakh followers.

Linguistic Creators
Talking about language, 42% of the creators create content in Hindi. Whereas critters creating content in regional languages are 58%. However, content creators in languages like Bhojpuri and Kannada are getting less earning opportunities in comparison to their numbers. It has also been told in the report that while the average engagement rate was 1.8% in 2020, it has increased to 7.2% in 2025. This means that people are responding to content more than before.

Earning became the biggest problem
Despite this, the biggest problem remains income. According to the report, only about 15% of creators are able to earn a good amount from their content. For most of the remaining people, content creation is still a source of extra income and not a means of employment. The special thing is that the business of those who are already creators is continuously increasing, but the new creators who are coming are facing the most problems.
