Political rhetoric has intensified after environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk, who was on hunger strike in Delhi, was shifted to the hospital. After Aditya Thackeray, now former Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has raised questions on the action of the Central Government and Delhi Police.

Priyanka said- Wangchuk cannot be made a scapegoat.
Priyanka Chaturvedi posted on X and wrote – “Instead of sending a minister to end his fast, the government sent Delhi Police, people will not forget this.” Priyanka also expressed concern over Sonam Wangchuk’s health and wrote, “Sonam ji, we need you so that you can continue the struggle. I may be trolled for this statement, but still I would say that CJP cannot make Wangchuk a ‘scapegoat’ for its political ambitions.”
Wangchuk on strike from June 28
This statement of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader is coming when Sonam Wangchuk is on hunger strike since June 28 and now she is admitted in the hospital for treatment. Delhi Police had claimed that Wangchuk was taken to Safdarjung Hospital as per the instructions of the High Court. However, no reaction has come yet from Wangchuk’s side.
