Anupam Kher has supported the student protest taking place in Delhi. Anupam Kher has posted a video and said that he was disappointed by the violence that took place during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest at Jantar Mantar. He requested that this protest should not be made political.

Anupam Kher said, ‘Dear student, I was saddened to see the video of the protest. No student should have to go through this. He was just placing his demand. I am also a student. I have also asked questions to the officials. I can understand their restlessness, anger and hope for the future. I support the students.

He further said, ‘But as an elder brother, I want to say one thing. When outside parties join your protest, especially political parties, who want to show their presence in every protest. Their aim is not to take your point forward. Rather they are fulfilling their benefits. You need to be careful. Initially you may feel that the more people join you, the stronger your protest will become. But this is not always the case. Many times they use your voice for their own benefit. They fulfill their political agenda. They take cameras and slogans with them. In such a situation, your cause may suffer loss. Your protest will be harmed and your truth will also be harmed.

Finally Anupam said, ‘This protest should be yours only. It should not be used politically. It is your right to question democracy. But you need to be careful that no one misuses it.
