In the first T20 match against Zimbabwe, Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history by scoring a fifty in 18 balls. So far, he has scored 92 runs in 4 matches, but 74 of these runs have come only from boundaries. In his T20 career, Vaibhav has played only 44 balls so far, out of which he has hit 9 sixes. Obviously this 15 year old boy likes to bat stormily. But now bowling coach Sunil Joshi says that he will try to improve Vaibhav’s bowling also.

Before the second T20 match against Zimbabwe, Sunil Joshi said, “In my view, first of all he should be seen as a batsman. His performance has been excellent and I am happy that he has done well. Here (in Zimbabwe) he has got a lot of success, it is here that he did well in the final of the Under-19 World Cup. His performance was good in the first match also.”

Sunil Joshi said about Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s bowling, “Vaibhav pays a lot of attention to his batting. Whenever we get time, I will work with him on bowling in the Center of Excellence (COE).

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is a batsman by profession and is rarely seen bowling. He has bowled left-handed off-spin and has also taken 2 wickets in first-class cricket.
