Indian cricket team’s wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has become the largest individual income tax payer of Uttarakhand. He has deposited income tax of Rs 23 crore 84 lakh during the financial year 2025-26.
This information related to Rishabh Pant’s tax payment was given by the Chief Income Tax Commissioner of Uttarakhand in a program organized on the occasion of Income Tax Day. Information about the contribution of major and regular taxpayers of the state was shared by the department.
Rishabh Pant leads in individual taxpayer category
According to the data of Income Tax Department, Rishabh Pant deposited the highest tax in Uttarakhand in the individual taxpayer category. He paid a total of Rs 23.84 crore as income tax. Pant belongs to Roorkee in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. Cricket, IPL contracts and various business deals are his main sources of income.
Taxes more than double from last year
According to the report, Rishabh Pant has deposited more than double the tax this time compared to the last financial year. Earlier, he had secured the first position in the list of individual taxpayers in the state by depositing advance income tax of about Rs 10.50 crore.
This time, with a tax payment of Rs 23.84 crore, he has once again become the largest individual taxpayer of Uttarakhand.
