Petrol-Diesel Rate Today on July 27: Today, on July 27, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel across the country. However, diplomatic talks have started once again between America and Iran. Due to this, there was some decline in the prices of crude oil last week. Where on Thursday the price of Brent crude oil reached $ 100.69 per barrel. At the same time, on Friday it declined by about 4%.
After US Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Mike Waltz said that President Donald Trump is giving Iran another chance for talks. This is the reason why there has been no attack on each other from both the countries for the last two consecutive days. Due to this, hopes of resuming shipping through the Strait of Hormuz have been raised again.
Why is Hormuz so important?
More than 20% of the world’s crude oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz. Whenever there is a fear of an increase in the shortage war between America and Iran, the prices of oil in the global market immediately start touching the sky due to the fear of stopping the supply. Earlier in the month of April, when the military conflict between the two countries reached its peak, Brent crude had crossed $ 120 per barrel. Then Indian oil companies had increased the price of petrol and diesel by about Rs 7.50 per liter.

| Kanpur | Rs 101.59 | Rs 95.06 |
Since when is the price stable?
Petrol and diesel rates have not changed in the country since May 25. During this period, government oil marketing companies (OMCs) had increased the price of petrol by Rs 2.61 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs 2.71 per liter.
The prices of petrol and diesel are most influenced by the international price of crude oil because it is the main raw material for both. Apart from this, the exchange rate between dollar and rupee also has a big impact on it because India is highly dependent on the import of crude oil. When the rupee weakens against the dollar, the cost of purchasing crude oil increases, which can directly lead to an increase in retail prices of the fuel.
