India has given its strong reaction on Tuesday (July 28, 2026) regarding the legislative elections to be held in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) amid massive protests that have been going on for the last 49 days. The Indian Foreign Ministry said that this so-called electoral process is just a sham, the purpose of which is to cover up Pakistan’s illegal occupation and hide the human rights violations being committed by it in the area.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued an official statement regarding this issue on Tuesday (July 28, 2026). External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘We have seen the news related to the so-called elections being conducted in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). India’s stand on this issue is completely clear, consistent and already known to all that the entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is an integral part of India. This also includes those areas which are currently under illegal and forcible occupation of Pakistan.

He said, ‘This so-called electoral process is just a sham, the purpose of which is to cover up Pakistan’s illegal occupation and its serious human rights violations in the area.’
Randhir Jaiswal further said, ‘The ongoing widespread protests by the people of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) are a clear result of Pakistan’s economic exploitation of the people there, depriving them of their fundamental rights as well as administrative atrocities.’

There is a lot of anger among the people in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) over the atrocities and atrocities being committed on the people by the Pakistani government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani Army led by Field Marshal Asim Munir for the last 48 days.
