Sunil Anand, son of late actor Dev Anand, has passed away. Sunil Anand died in London at the age of 70. He was ill for the last several days. Sunil was an actor and filmmaker. He was the son of legendary actors Dev Anand and Kalpana Karthik. There are reports that he died on 26th July. According to reports, he suffered a heart attack. His family informed about his death.

Sunil was born on 30 June 1956. He was born in Zurich, Switzerland. His father Dev Anand is a veteran actor of the Hindi film industry. His mother Kalpana also did many great films. Kalpana was seen in Baaghi, Taxi Driver and House Number 44.
Sunil studied Business Administration from American University, Washington DC. After this he also entered films. Initially he assisted his father in many projects. Then in 1984 he debuted in Bollywood with the film ‘Anand Aur Anand’. It was directed and also produced by Dev Anand. In this film, father and son were seen together on screen. After this he was seen in the film Car Thief. The film came in 1986. Vijayata Pandit was in the female lead in the film.

Sunil also worked in ‘Main Tere Liye’. However, Sunil did not get the recognition and success he was looking for in the industry. His films were not commercially successful. After this he distanced himself from acting and tried his luck in filmmaking. He directed the martial arts film ‘Master’ in 2001. Apart from this, he announced an English film named Vagator Mixer. But this film was never released.
After his father’s death, Sunil took over the responsibility of Navketan Films and preserved his father’s legacy. Helped in the special screening of Dev Anand’s famous film ‘Guide’ at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008.
