There is not much time left for Punjab Assembly elections. Meanwhile, along with the ruling party Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), opposition parties have also started preparations. In this sequence, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) (SADA) has also released the first list of 20 candidates in which candidates have been fielded for big assemblies.
There are a total of 117 assembly seats in Punjab, elections on which are to be held in the year 2027. SAD (Amritsar) has sounded the election bugle by releasing the first list on Tuesday (July 28). These names were approved in the party’s parliamentary board meeting. Parliamentary Board Secretary Gurjant Singh Kattu said that SAD (Amritsar) has fielded its working president Iman Singh Mann from Sri Fatehgarh Sahib assembly constituency.

At the same time, Gurjant Singh Kattu has informed that among other candidates, tickets have been given to Mahinderpal Singh from Patiala Rural, Kuldeep Singh Bhagowal from Rupnagar, Kushalpal Singh Mann from Kharar, Gurnam Singh Singdiwal from Garhshankar, Gurnaib Singh Rampura from Sangrur, Baldev Singh Gagra from Nihal Singh Wala, Harjinder Singh Jakhu from Bhadaur and Parminder Singh Baliyanwali from Mau.
Kattu said that the party will soon release the next list of candidates for all the remaining assembly constituencies. For information, let us tell you that assembly elections are to be held in Punjab early next year. There are a total of 117 assembly constituencies in the state.
