Indian AI Engineer loses US Job: Nowadays nothing is certain in the tech industry. Something similar happened with an Indian AI engineer, which surprised the whole world. This engineer was living and working in America for the last six years. He did his master’s degree there and then worked for more than three years in a big Fortune 500 company. But suddenly he was fired from the job. The funniest thing is that the same project on which he was working has now been given to the India team of his company. That means his work will continue, but he himself will not be involved in it.
Compulsion of H1B visa
This engineer shared his entire story on social media. He wrote that he was in America on H1B visa. When the company fired him, he had only 60 days left to find a new job. If he did not do this, he would have to leave America. He tried a lot, but he did not get any new job in 60 days and he told that now he is tired and he wants to take a break for some time for which he is preparing to come back to India. He also told that he is not married yet and his age is around thirty years. He also told that he had already paid off all his student loans, so at least there is no tension from that side. He has shared all this on Reddit. On which he has also asked the users for their opinion as to what they should do now.

What advice did people give?
Many people commented on his post and gave advice. One person wrote that he should try to join the same company or team which is now handling his project. He also said that the hiring environment is very bad right now, hence one should keep trying on websites like Naukri and LinkedIn. Another user asked whether he can take a job in the India team, because he has complete information about the project. To this the engineer replied that he had the opportunity to choose between job or severance, and he chose severance because it was available in dollars. Some other people gave him courage and said that his profile is actually not as weak as he thinks.
