Bihar Teacher Recruitment 2026: Big news has come for the candidates preparing to become teachers in Bihar. Actually, the state government has sent the proposal for the appointment of 32,388 teachers to Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) under Preparation 4 of Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4). With the proposal being sent, the next phase of the recruitment process is expected to begin and an official notification can be issued by the Commission soon. If after the release of the information, complete information like application date, eligibility, examination, pattern and selection process will be revealed.
Recruitment proposal sent to BPSC in Education Department
According to the Bihar government, the proposal for vacant posts for the fourth phase of teacher recruitment in the education department has been sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). This recruitment will be done with the aim of removing the shortage of teachers in primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary schools of the state. Now the Commission will start the application process by issuing official notification.
For which class, how many posts will be recruited?
A total of 32,388 posts have been proposed for different levels under TRE-4. Among these, maximum vacancies have been kept for higher secondary i.e. class 11th and 12th. Whereas 3,847 posts have been proposed for classes 1 to 5, 8,563 posts for classes 6 to 8, 3,877 posts for classes 9 to 10 and 16,101 posts for classes 11th to 12th. In this way, almost half the posts are proposed only for higher secondary level teachers.

BPSC TRE-4 notification will be released soon
After receiving the proposal, Bihar Public Service Commission will now issue detailed notification of recruitment. In this notification, information about application start date, last date, educational qualification, age limit, reservation rules, format of examination and selection process will be given. In such a situation, candidates will have to wait for the official notification till the application fee starts. Apart from this, the objective of this recruitment drive is to fill the posts of teachers lying vacant for a long time in the government schools of the state. The appointment of a large number of teachers from primary to higher secondary level is expected to help in strengthening the teaching system in the schools.

The state government says that this recruitment is not limited to just filling the vacant posts, but is a big step towards providing employment opportunities to the youth and strengthening the education system. The government is continuously emphasizing on taking the recruitment processes forward in various departments, so that more and more youth can get employment.
