Honor is going to launch its next smartphone series Honor 400 on 22 May. Just before the launch, the company has made a big announcement that Honor and Google Cloud have joined hands to bring the AI ​​image-to-video feature to the devices. Under this partnership, the Honor 400 series will be one of the first devices in which Google’s new VEO 2 model will be inbuilt, which will be able to make short videos from static photos. Apart from this, the Honor 400 series will also have the latest imagen models of Google, making AI performance even better.

Honor has informed that Honor 400 series smartphones will be able to generate moving videos and animated photos of up to 5 seconds from static photos. The company says that this feature will prove to be very useful for content creators, social media managers and marketing professionals, as they will be able to prepare visual content in a few seconds. This AI feature of Veo 2 and Honor, the AI ​​feature does not currently need on-device processing, but Honor has made it clear that user data will not be used for AI training.

Apart from this, Honor has revealed two more AI features – AI Outpainting and AI Eraser feature. The outpainting feature can expand the image up to 200% and will also support rotation in it. At the same time, AI Eraser has been tuned to give better results in multiple objects and people filled with people.

Honor has also confirmed that the user will not need to sign in to use these AI features. However, the company has indicated that login may be necessary for some advanced features in future.

AI features already existing of Honor like Magic Portal and Magic Capsule will also be improved in this series. Honor believes that through these natural interaction based AI services, the user will get an experience that has not been seen in mid-range phones yet.
