Tejasvee ghosalkar news: Uddhav Thackeray’s party Shiv Sena-UBT has suffered a setback in Maharashtra politics. Tejashwi Ghosalkar, former corporator of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), resigned from Shiv Sena (UBT) on Tuesday (May 13). He has taken this decision due to personal reasons, although according to sources, his displeasure with the party’s work at the local level is also considered a major reason for this.
Tejashwi Ghosalkar was the head of the women’s wing of Shiv Sena (UBT) in Dahisar assembly constituency of Mumbai North. The party’s department chief Udesh Patekar confirmed his resignation, but he said that Tejashwi did not give any clear reason. At the same time, party sources say that Ghosalakar was unhappy with the attitude of the party’s local leadership.
Tejashwi’s family associated with politics
Tejashwi Ghosalkar’s political life has a deep family connection. She is the daughter -in -law of former MLA Vinod Ghosalkar and her husband Abhishek Ghosalkar has also been a former BMC corporator. Abhishek was killed earlier this year, when he was shot by local resident Morris Noronha during Facebook Live. This incident not only shook the city, but also ran a wave of mourning in political circles.
Old association with the family by the Thackeray family
There has been a deep relationship between the family and the Thackeray family for a long time. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, his son and former minister Aditya Thackeray along with wife Rashmi Thackeray had also arrived at the funeral of Abhishek Ghosalkar, which reflects the closeness of the relationship.
According to a party official, after Tejashwi’s resignation, the Thackeray family tried to convince him and also urged him to rethink his decision. However, till now Tejashwi has not made any changes in his attitude. Tejashwi Ghosalkar leaving the party is considered a major setback for Shiv Sena (UBT) in local organizations in North Mumbai, especially when the party is preparing for the upcoming elections.
