Nuclear weapons: Whenever there is a military conflict between India and Pakistan, the discussion of nuclear weapons increases. The same happened in the military struggle in the past and a nuclear attack on India was threatened by Pakistan. However, India gave a suitable reply to Pakistan without fear, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear that India ‘nuclear blackmailing’ is not afraid. The presence of nuclear weapons with India and Pakistan is a cause of concern for the world. Actually, these two countries are staunch enemies of each other for decades and have also fought a direct battle four times.
However, the policies of nuclear weapons of India and Pakistan are different. Even though Pakistan implements the first use of nuclear weapons in the event of the first use policy on nuclear weapons, but India’s policy is quite different. In such a situation, let us know whether India cannot use nuclear weapons under any circumstances? What is an agreement that prevents India from using nuclear weapons?
India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons
At present, only 9 countries of the world have nuclear weapons. This includes the US, Russia, Britain, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea. In this, India and Pakistan are two such neighboring countries in the world, between which the situation of confrontation always remains. There has also been a competition of nuclear weapons between the two countries for a long time. There is no official figure of how many nuclear weapons of the world have. However, it is believed that India has 172 nuclear weapons and Pakistan has 170 nuclear weapons.
India’s policy on nuclear weapons
Nuclear weapons are considered to be the most powerful weapons in the world. Only once in the world, these weapons were used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, whose devastation was seen by the whole world. In such a situation, these weapons should not be used, in such a situation, many countries adopt the policy of ‘no first use’. India adopted this policy in 2003 on nuclear weapons. This policy says that India will not use nuclear weapons against any country under any circumstances. However, if nuclear weapons are used on India, then India will not back down from doing so. Therefore, it is wrong to say that India can never use nuclear weapons. India will use these weapons only in the situation when nuclear weapons are used on it.
