CPI Leader on Operation Sindoor: The Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D Raja has objected to the sending of an all -party delegation to the major partner countries of India on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) amid the demand of the opposition for the special session of Parliament on Operation Sindoor. He said that it is completely unacceptable that foreign governments should be informed about this matter and Indian people should be in darkness about it.
CPI General Secretary D Raja said, ‘The government’s decision to send an all -party delegation to major countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), reflects ambiguity after Operation Sindoor. Neither political parties were consulted nor informed on this matter and there is no clarity on the field of these delegations.
Special session should be called for discussion on Operation Sindoor- D Raja
CPI leader D Raja said on the social media platform X, ‘It is unacceptable that foreign governments will be informed whereas India’s Parliament and people will remain in darkness. Many opposition parties, including the Congress, are demanding a special session of Parliament to discuss Operation Sindoor launched after the Pahalgam attack.
Apart from this, he raised the issue of arrest of a professor of Ashoka University recently on the post on Operation Sindoor and called it a repression of disagreement.
CPI leader accused BJP
The king said in his post, ‘Since the Pahalgam attack, the nation has responded with solidarity against terror. Nevertheless, the BJP has decided to take advantage of this opportunity to deepen partition, gain political benefits and suppress disagreement. Professor Ali Khan Mahmudabad’s arrest, which was not for his words but for his identity and logical criticism, is one of many disturbing signs.
Center did not deny the claims of trump’s mediation: D Raja
Raja sought clarification from the government on the increasing confusion between India and Pakistan on the terms of the ceasefire and the role of US President Donald Trump. He said, ‘The shocking thing is that the government has not yet clearly denied or condemned Trump’s claims. It is completely opposite to the alleged statement made before the Parliamentary Committee of the Foreign Secretary that both sides used traditional war methods.
The CPI leader further questioned whether the government would answer these questions or India’s national security dialogue would remain hostage of unilateral statements of Donald Trump. The king said that the government should respect its people and institutions before contacting the world. He said, ‘India deserves transparency, unity and respect, not ego, ambiguity and repression.’
CPI leader raised questions on Center’s foreign policy
The king also targeted the BJP -led government’s foreign policy and said, ‘No big country stood clearly with India.’ He said, ‘Even the worse thing is that a BJP leader like Vijay Shah, who had linked a respected officer Colonel Sophia Qureshi only on the basis of his religion, maintains a ministerial post, which created an uncomfortable situation internationally.’
The Center announced seven delegations on Sunday (May 18, 2025), including leaders, MPs and former ministers of various parties and who will move away from the party line to the capitals of many countries of the world and put India’s resolve to deal with terrorism in the backdrop of Operation Sindoor.
