Boycott turkey: There is tremendous resentment among the people of India over Turkey, who came to support Pakistan during the military struggle between India and Pakistan after ‘Operation Sindoor’. In this sequence, people from goods made in Türkiye to Turkish Airline are boycotting. People are shying away from buying even chocolate, clothing brands, fruits imported from Türkiye.
Turkish and Azerbaijan’s trip cancellation
People are canceling their trip to Türkiye and Azerbaijan. According to a BusinessTude report, the visa processing platform Atalis said that the visa application for both Türkiye and Azerbaijan has also declined by 42 percent. Within 36 hours after ‘Operation Sindoor’, the number of Indians leaving visa processes for Türkiye or Azerbaijan has also increased by 60 %.
Turkey was heavy to support Pakistan
Earlier on 15 May, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) canceled the security approval for the ground handling and cargo service provider Celebi. After this decision, most of the nine airports working with Celebs have ended relations with the company.
According to the Reuters report, Air India has also asked the Ministry of Civil Aviation to stop the leasing agreement with Indigo’s Turkish Airlines in view of security concerns and impact on business. There is a leasing agreement between IndiGo and Turkish Airlines in 2023, which has provided two aircraft including pilots, crew members to fly to IndiGo on New Delhi and Mumbai-Estambul route.

Government of Madhya Pradesh took this step
