The conversation of a father and son, who holds different places in both India’s politics and international journalism, has caught everyone’s attention these days. This was not a common conversation, but an interview, where the son was taking interview and the father was answering questions. The occasion was the all-party delegation led by Shashi Tharoor about ‘Operation Sindoor’ in America and his son Ishaan Tharoor was questioning.
Ishaan Tharoor is a columnist of global affairs in America’s famous newspaper Washington Post. He asked his father and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor serious questions. The most important question in the conversation was about the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which many innocent tourists lost their lives.
Who is Ishaan Tharoor?
Ishaan Tharoor is not just Shashi Tharoor’s son but is a strong international journalist himself. He was born in 1984 in Singapore, when his father was working in the United Nations. Ishaan’s twin brother Kanishka Tharoor is also a writer. Ishaan has been raised and educated in an entire international environment.
Education and career
Ishaan Tharoor studied in subjects like history, ethnicity and migration from the famous Yale University of America. There he also found the Sudler Fellowship, which is given to the students with special talent.
He started journalism in 2006 with Time magazine, where he became from reporter to senior editor. In 2014, he joined Washington Post and writes deeply on world politics, history and diplomacy there.
