CBSE Class 9 New Books 2026 : Continuous changes are being made in school education under the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) and NCF-SE 2023. In this direction, preparations have also started to effectively teach the new Maths and Science books of Class 9. For this, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) organized a special orientation workshop for teachers. The objective of this training was to give teachers information about the structure of new books, methods of teaching and their better use in the classroom, so that students can easily understand the new curriculum.

Teachers’ orientation workshop organized in Delhi

This orientation workshop was organized by CBSE and NCERT at CBSE Integrated Office Complex, Dwarka, New Delhi. A total of 110 teachers from CBSE affiliated schools participated in it. These included 58 maths teachers and 52 science teachers. Apart from this, representatives of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) also became part of this workshop.

What were the teachers taught in the workshop?

All the sessions of the workshop were conducted by NCERT experts. He gave information about the thinking behind the new Maths and Science books, their structure and ways to teach them effectively in the classroom. During the training, teachers were told how to motivate students to understand the subjects instead of just memorizing them and to learn by connecting them with real life.

There was special focus on these topics

During the workshop, teachers were given information about Competency-Based Learning. Along with this, emphasis was laid on connecting the topics of books with everyday life through experiential learning. Problem-solving skills techniques were also discussed to increase the analytical ability of students. Apart from this, the methods of Holistic Assessment were also explained, which are in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Framework (NCF-SE) 2023.

Will advance the new education system by becoming a master trainer

According to CBSE, the objective of this workshop is to prepare teachers as master trainers. These trained teachers will further help in effectively implementing the new curriculum in CBSE affiliated schools. The board says that with this training, teachers will be able to better understand the educational objective of the new books and adopt such teaching methods in the classroom, which will help in developing critical thinking, application-based learning and deep understanding of the subjects in the students.
